From humble beginnings to a global phenomenon
Avada’s journey began in 2012, when Envato Author and WordPress development team ThemeFusion, founded by Luke Beck and Muhammad Haris, set out to create an intuitive, powerful, and user-friendly theme. Back then, WordPress themes were often rigid, catering to narrow use cases. At that time, Avada’s revolutionary Advanced Options Network, extensive customization options, and seamless user experience disrupted this norm, setting new standards for what a WordPress theme could achieve.

As Avada grew in popularity, one of the things that set it apart was its support model. “A huge challenge in the initial explosion of Avada’s popularity was that we needed to scale our support offering significantly,” said Markus Schwingenschlögl, Chief Operating Officer of ThemeFusion.
